Who am I, you ask?
My name is Jonathan Michalik, and I'm super into gameplay and user experience design. I absolutely love thinking about... well... how people think. I find great joy in dissecting video game (and to some extent real life) scenarios and figuring out what a person would enjoy, shy away from, find as a nice-to-have, and just downright hate. I do my best to keep these views objective, but I've been known to "gush" when it comes to certain topics.
As of around 2019, I developed an intense desire to share in humanity's experience with the Earth and create site called Prismatic Planet to help share my thoughts and experiences and others. It's a place to share in stories of human and the environment, to learn how the Earth works, and to appreciate art focused on our home. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from Western Illinois University, and a number of certifications from Moraine Valley Community College in computer programming and 3D art and animation. Despite that previous sentence, I spend most of my time these days working on various environmental projects and volunteer work. As far as employment goes, I work for Applied Systems with a snappy official title of Development Team Manager. I work with some of the smartest people around designing the architecture for the US Insurance industry's most widely adopted data transfer platform. If you've read this far then you must be fishing for personal information to gain my favor, so feel free to make me chicken, send me giant stuffed teddy bears, and take me to as many Rush concerts as possible (this last one is sadly no longer possible, but sharing your memories and experiences of how Rush's music impacted you are a welcome replacement)! |
